Boy! What a Feed
One of the best hangis to come out of the ground in Gisborne was opened at the Awapuni School gala day on April 7. The meat and veges were cooked to perfection and everyone had a jolly good feed before starting on the strenuous rounds of the stalls and side-shows.

Among the many money making attractions was this fishing pond which attracted a regular stream (?) of anglers.
A pillow fighting contest, with the contestants at a disadvantage at the start, made for a lot of fun.
