Proceeds from the Midway Progress Association's Christmas Car Park in the Central School grounds came to $45, and this amount was presented to the Gisborne Health Camp recently. Association secretary Doug Dyer hands over the cheque to Health Camp representative Mr A. W. Hall.

Proceeds from the Combined Lions Clubs' Christmas Cake project raised well over $1000 for the I.H.C. A total of 2070 Christmas cakes were sold by the two clubs. Writing out the cheque for the amount is Gisborne Club vice-president Ian Hammon, while at back are I.H.C. administrator John Burns, I.H.C. treasurer Paddy Pilbrow and Turanga Lions Club representative Peter Hartley.

Two members of the Gisborne Competitions Society were made life members recently. They were presented with their badges by society president Doug Carlyle (left), and are, frorn left, Mrs Isobel May and Mrs Beryl Haskin. At right is Mr Jack Randall, a past president, and life member.
