Over the Years

The Church of Christ Women's Fellowship February meeting took a different turn when a parade of members' wedding gowns was shown.

Different years brought different styles with the oldest being a 1941 dress.

Bev Olding models her own bridal frock before some of the fellowship members. Bev was married in 1967.

1941 was the first year shown and this was the gown worn by Mrs Edna Halliwell.

Mrs Ethel Arnold's gown shows one of the styles that was in vogue in 1945.

Nola Allen models the 1952 wedding dress of Mrs Lorna Zame

Mrs Bev Roberts parades the 1954 gown of Mrs Margaret Olding

Mrs Janet Halliwell's 1955 dress is worn by Daphne Powell.

This style, of 1960, was chosen by Mrs Val Packman

Another 1970 style was that worn by Mrs Priscilla Gibbs for her wedding

And just for laughs, Mrs Shirley Scott paraded what she thought a bride of the year 2000 might wear!
