New Equipment
Some brand new equipment was presented to the Waikanae Surf Life-Saving Club recently, and this the club was to take to the national championships at Oakura, near New Plymouth.
The Commercial Bank of Australia gave the club this Malibu surf board which will be used for rescue work. With the board, from left, are Peter Stokes, Dave Watt, Brian Cairns, Kevin Barrett and Bruce McKay.

From the Eclipse Wire Company came this reel and belt, the latest of its kind and worth something like $140. Pictured with the new reel are, from left, John Vaughan, Andrew Kerr, Kevin Barrett, Barry Green, Dick Glover and David Healey (sales manager for the Eclipse Company).
