About 150 delegates attended the conference, where the principal guest speaker was Professor Bede Morris, of the Australian National University, Canberra.
Local veterinarians attending were, from left, Lawrie Knight and David Mossman (Wairoa), Mac Wallace, John Peters, Pat Mathew, Harold Skyrme and Buster Neilson (Gisborne), and Frank Rowson (Tolaga Bay).
