Kia Ora!

From Wellington, that is. This fine, Jauncey study of Mrs Raana Tangira was sent to us by her parents, Bill and Mihi Kerekere, formerly of Gisborne. Raana was selected, with her husband, Bill Tangira, for the Maori concert party now touring the United States. Raana spent nine years with the Waihirere Maori Club, was a cultural leader at Te Waipounamu College, was a Ngati Poneke performer, and was a leader of the Te Kahui Rangatahi Group when selected for the tour. Raana also toured Australia for the P. & O. Shipping Line in 1968.
