Feeding Father

The Takitimu Sea Scouts held a most enjoyable father and son dinner at the Mayfair Catering Rooms, on November 15. The guest speaker was Mr Owen Poole, who spoke on his experiences of naval life. The occasion was also used for the presentation of a wood badge and a warrant.

Mr Roger Harries, Scout Leader, received his wood badge from Mrs J. Cornwall, Akela, who has a wood badge. It is a scouting custom for a wood badge to be presented by the holder of one already.

The District Commissioner, Mr Roy Hardcastle, awarded Mrs J. Brown .with her assistant Cub Leader's warrant.
