Time the Essence

Time was the essence during the East Coast Fire Brigade Sub-Association competitions, which were held at Te Karaka on November 4. Teams from Ruatoria, Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay, Manutuke, Wairoa, Matawai, Nuhaka, Gisborne and Te Karaka all took part. The efficiency of some teams was impaired by the slippery ground conditions which prevailed after light rain, but this did not prevent good times being recorded.
