Co-Ordination Plus

Careful planning and co-ordination between Monk Bros and the P.B. Electric Power Board ensured a smooth, nonhitch transition of the Church of the Resurrection, from its former site in Cook Street to its new place next to St Mark's, in Elgin. The operation had started a week earlier, with the building being prepared for transport. Then at 4 a.m., on November 5, the building was moved without fuss from site to site. About 50 of the power board staff were on hand to disconnect and reconnect power lines as the convoy passed along its route.
