Camp Badge Day
A Camp Badge Training Day was held at the Showgrounds recently, with Guides from Wairoa, Gisborne and Ruatoria taking part.

At the Girl Guides' Annual General Meeting, five women were presented with awards for outstanding service to the movement, and these were presented by the Executive Director of New Zealand Guides, Miss Mary Hopkirk. As part of their Service to Churches Day, Guides and Brownies in the district cleaned up weeds and tidied gardens around various church buildings in Gisborne. At St Paul's, in Kaiti, this group had the situation well under control.
