From Mrs J. Christie, Stanford Crescent, comes this picture taken during early formation of the roads in the Fitzgerald subdivision in Kaiti. The houses at the bottom of the picture were some of the show homes, being the first built in Glasgow Crescent. Houses were to come thick and fast, later in the building programme, but the streets seen in this picture, before the hosues were erected, are London Street (which comes in from lower left) Ranfurly Street (running diagonally in from lower right), Belfast Crescent and Oxford Street (going off from Ranfurly Street) and, across the top, is Cambridge Terrace, which joins Endcliffe Road at top left.
