Students Take a Look at Gisborne
Thirty-three student teachers from the Auckland Teacher's Training College paid Gisborne a four-day visit recently to absorb something of the atmosphere of rural industry. They toured stud sheep and cattle farms, orchards, and the cannery.
On their last afternoon, the party visited places of historic interest, and are seen on the steps of the Cook memorial.
Mr J. H. Martin, formerly of the Gisborne Central School staff, who had charge of the party, is shown pointing out places of interest from the top of Kaiti Hill.
