P.B. Open Golf Title To Fisher

Murray Fisher beat the Napier golfer Frank Gordon, 3 and 2, at the Awapuni course on August 26, to take the Poverty Bay Golf Club Open championship. Fisher took the lead from the ninth and the game ended on the 16th green.

Well known golfing personality "Bowser" Toogood was the umpire. This is the first time since the war that Mr Toogood has not played in the P.B. Open
