Mr and Mrs W. A. Blair, Salisbury Road, celebrated their Golden wedding with a small family party at their home. The couple, who married at Holy Trinity in 1922, have spent all their married life in the Gisborne-Wairoa area. Mr Blair worked for the Hydro-Electric Department at Tuai before taking the position as weighbridge clerk for the Gisborne Harbour Board in 1942. He retired 26 years later, in 1968. Mrs Blair is active in numerous women's organisations and the couple are both keen bowlers.
