Some hard yakka went into the Softball series this summer, thus giving lie somewhat to the name of the game. With over 900 players in the district, interest in softball is still increasing, and competition keen.

The final day saw several competitions finalised, and also a fun game between the married and unmarried Senior men. The season's trophies were then presented by the East Coast Association patron, Mr Trevor Davey. Highlights of the fun game included, Robin Day making a home run.
