Tour For Four

Pictured together on this page are the four vintage cars from Gisborne which took part in the recent international rally. This was held throughout the country, with the cars converging on Nelson for the final days. Although not gaining any of the trophies at the rally, those who took part fully enjoyed the whole event.

Mr Joe Webber's 1928 Austin 7. The Webber's route was from Wellington via a roundabout course to Nelson.

Tony Notting's 1926 Pontiac, shown with navigator Rod Clague, took the route from Palmerston North to Nelson.

Myles Walters went from Christ-church to Nelson in his 1930 Hudson.

×
     

This 1930 Model A Ford was taken, by owner Alan Wilson, from Invercargill to Nelson.
