Sprintin' 'n' Climbin'

Members of the Gisborne Car Club held a very successful sprinting and hill climbing weekend recently, with about 20 cars taking part. The quarter-mile sprints were held on the Willows Road, while the climbs were conducted on the Repongare . Hill.

At the sprint Robbie Booth, in his Lotus Formula Ford, set the fastest time of the day — 13.6 seconds for the ¼ mile.

Baron Robertson, driving a Brabham Formula Ford, took second fastest time in the sprint.
