River Race And Regatta

Much energy and effort was put into the building and racing of the rafts which started off the 1972 Sea Scouts' regatta. The rafts raced down the river from Anzac Park to the Gladstone Road bridge, providing many thrills and spills for the spectators lining the bridges on the course. Other boating events took place during the afternoon.
