The Cavalier Cricket Club was one of the New Zealand teams invited to play in the Fiji-Australia-New Zealand series held in Fiji, recently. They did exceptionally well, being joint winners of the competition. The team is pictured before their departure from the airport. Members of the Gisborne Freezing Works' Social Club enjoyed a sporting visit to Auckland a few weeks back. Teams played rugby, darts, billiards and indoor basketball and were treated royally by their hosts in Auckland. The group is also pictured at the Gisborne Airport, prior to their departure early on the Saturday morning.
