Croquet Coming Of Age

A delicious buffet dinner and afternoon entertainment was enjoyed by members of the Barry Park Croquet Club as they celebrated the club's 21st birthday in The Quarter Deck restaurant at the Sandown Park Hotel. After the luncheon the celebration cake was cut by Mrs K. Patterson, the oldest life and foundation member of the club. The year's trophies were then presented by the club's patroness, the Mayoress Mrs H. H. Barker.

At the cutting of the cake, Mesdames M. Dolman (foundation member), Mrs P. Hockley (life and foundation member), Mrs Patterson, Mrs B. Brown (now of Napier and a foundation member), Mr J. Booth (life member) and Mrs Booth (life and foundation member).
