Just Stick Like Glue!

Rodeo Thrills For All

Thrills, for competitor and spectator alike, were the order of the day at the Gisborne Rodeo Association's annual rodeo held at the Showgrounds on December 27. The Open Buck-jump (or the Saddle Bronc Ride, as it is sometimes called) was the premier event of the day. Other events with almost as much excitement and danger attached to them were steer riding, bareback riding, bulldogging, calf roping and wild horse racing.
