Dahlia Show
There was a fine display of blooms at the annual dahlia show of the Poverty Bay Horticultural Society in the Army Hall on February 24.
Award for show's champion bloom went to this entry by Mrs S. B. Monck. It is a giant decorative dahlia. Variety: Mrs P. Askew.
A feature of the show was the special display of dahlias by Shailer's, of Palmerston North. This is a portion of the display.
A variety of containers was shown by Adairs, and the flowers were arranged by Mrs L. Eade.

The camera's eye differs from the judge's: Miss Todd's entry in the Flower Arrangement class was unplaced, but makes the show's most striking photographic exhibit.
