Changing Face
The new Automobile Association's (Auckland) building on the corner of Palmerston Road and Disraeli Street is almost completed.
The Turanga Lions Club held a working bee recently at the speedway grounds. Here they lay the concrete pad on the site leased by the Lions for a permanent barbeque. Proceeds from the barbeque will go to Lions' charities.
Also at the speedway, the new clubhouse has taken shape. Interior fitting and a paint job will complete the club's amenities. The new speedway season starts on Saturday, October 23.
