Fifty Entries For Junior Squash
Fifty entrants took part in the first junior squash tournament to be held in Gisborne. Boys and girls from Hawkes Bay were also able to enter the tournament, as it was held during the school holidays. The event was such a success that it is hoped to make it an annual affair.
Winner and runner-up of the senior boys' championship are John Pinel (Gisborne) and Tony Little-ford (Hawkes Bay), respectively.
