All The Way

The Owairaka Club team took the lead at the start of the Wairoa to Gisborne Harrier Relay Race and were never headed thereafter.

The team completed the race in the winning time of 5 hours, 48 minutes, 20 seconds, under conditions that were warm and sunny. The Gisborne team's effort was not that which was expected and they finished fourth.
