Among the many activities during that period was the presentation of a welcome sign in eleven languages to the harbour board. The sign has been erected on one of the light towers at the overseas wharf where it can be seen by overseas ships as they come into port. From left, Jaycee president Les McGreevy, harbour board chairman, Mr Dawson Chrisp, project convenor Robert Jackson and board member for international relations, Gary Robinson.

The week got underway when Jaycees "took over" Radio 2ZG on the Monday afternoon for a couple of hours and broadcast their own 'thing." From left, publicity officer John Webley, president Les McGreevy, "broadcaster" Robin McGreevy (with eyes down and talking) and radio announcer Phil Langdon.

The Red Cross library service was presented with two donation boxes which will be left in each branch of the A.N.Z. Bank for books and donations. Receiving one of the boxes from Jaycee vice-president Dick Barclay are Miss G. Clifford-Jones (Red Cross president), and Mesdames E. Hutchinson and T. Warner.
