Proffit-Ahuriri. Two young Gisborne people who married in Auckland recently were Maudie Ahuriri, second daughter of Mr M. P. Ahuriri, 2 Howarth Street, and the late Mrs Ahuriri, and Ivan Robert Arthur, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Proffit, 33 Main Road, Makaraka. The attendants are Leslie Swain-son, Taupo (formerly of Gisborne), cousin of the groom, and Hiki Ahuriri, sister of the bride. The flower-girl is Alberta Ahuriri, youngest sister of the bride. The couple's future home will be in Auckland.
