13th Grade Upset

In the 13th grade rugby, Mangapapa A, hitherto unbeaten, were all set to win the competition when Edmund Campion A caused an upset and defeated them by six points to three. At the time of going to press this meant that Mangapapa and Edmund Campion were leading the competition, with ManutuKe only one point behind. The odds were actually on Mangapapa as E.C.C. had previously been defeated by Waikirikiri. John McIntyre scored both tries for E.C.C. We needn't point out, of course, that this game of rugby was played in I the best traditions of the sport.
