This shot of one of Airland (N.Z.) Ltd's Dakota top-dressing planes was taken as it made a run over Mr R. R. Graham's property off the Ngakaroa Road at the back of Ormond.

Airland (N.Z.) Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary company of Fieldair Ltd of Gisborne and on the Back Cover we have a shot of two Airland Dakotas, and one Southern Air Super Dakota. (Southern Air is a subsidiary of Airland). The three Dakotas are all used for top-dressing and it is a rare occasion indeed to get three planes of the one type on the ground together long enough to take a picture. Young Nick's Head can be seen past the end of the runway at Gisborne Airport.
