They learnt a Lot at The Combined Theatre School
Gisborne Unity Theatre and the Operatic Society combined to hold a three-night theatre school recently. This was organised by Mrs Lois Johnson, and consisted of stage technique, movement and improvisation, and make-up. The scheme was most successful and the large number attending certainly learnt a lot.

An overseas expert with plenty of make-up experience, Miss Sandra Charles explains the art to the third night attenders. Subject is John Speakman.
Applying make-up after the first section of the lecture are, from left, Patricia Egan and Lorraine Bridge.
