Two Shields Held
Harriers in Hard-run Races
Gisborne harriers had hard runs over boggy country and well filled water hazards to keep the Fred Hewitt Shield and the Graham Thomas Shield from Napier and Whakatane respectively, on May 22. Conditions were tough and the water cold.
Not too happy about splashing through this particular hazard is Ray Hamilton of Gisborne.
Noel Cox (ex-Gisborne) scrambles out of the same hazard.
And yet another crashing through is Bob Hughes.
