Grand efforts by members of both the senior and junior branches of the Manchester Unity Lodge culminated in two presentations recently.

Kelvin Venturer, Graham Stichbury, was made a Queen's Scout recently. Graham is the son of Mr and Mrs Dave Stichbury, formerly of Gisborne and now of Napier. They and the Kelvin committee were entertained at a dinner held in the Carnarvon Street Scout hall, and this was prepared by, from left, Venturers John Scholium, Robert Hills and Ray Teutenberg. Next is Graham Stichbury and then Mrs Stichbury, Mr Dave Stichbury, Mr Ron Johnstone (Venturer advisor), and Mrs Karlyne Baynes (Kelvin secretary).

Senior members of the Gisborne, East Coast and Bay of Plenty areas of the lodge were represented by immediate past president John McKay (left) when he presented a cheque for $120 to the Save The Children Fund. Accepting the cheque, which will go to the Medical Aid Scheme for children in Vietnam, is secretary Peter Lynch.

Members of the Manchester Unity Charles Ambridge Junior Lodge presented their first big blanket (made from squares knitted by them) to go to the Save The Children Hospital in Vietnam. Local past president of the fund, Mrs J. M. Mackie, receives the gift, and on her right is N. G. Patricia Gray.
