$300 for Travelling Fund Cycle Club's Successful Venture

Members of the Watties' Gisborne Amateur Cycling Club held a very successful "bikathon" recently.

This event sponsored by New Zealand Breweries, and hotels in the district, raised just on $300 for the club's travel fund.

Mrs Mary Brown and Miss Annette Conole took off on a tandem to lead the bikathoners on the marathon.
