"Hair-Raising" Headgear
At least that's what it looked like when, just for kicks and a small prize, the Te Hapara Plunket Mothers Club staged this dizzy "Parade of Wigs" for the benefit of themselves and their visitors, the Kaiti and Manga-papa Clubs. The thing was of course that the wigs had to be made of anything but hair. Needless to say there were some ingenious wigs.
This eye-catching pompadour was created for herself by Mrs Ngaire Dobbie.
Mrs Dawn Ramsey won the prize with this wool creation.
Mrs Judy Benden also favoured wool for her wig.
