Readers Pictures

Our award of a year's free subscription to the reader sending in the best photograph each month for publication on this page is being discontinued because only occasionally is there a print which we consider merits this prize. Many hundreds of pictures were received last year, some of which were of excellent interest and quality, but the great majority were unusable for technical reasons, and only two or three measured up to the expected standards.

Nevertheless, nearly all prints submitted had their quota of interest, and accordingly in future we will be awarding a complimentary copy of "Photo News" to all readers whose pictures are published in that issue, and prizes of a year's subscription and a half-year's subscription to prints which we consider merit these awards.

Pictures should be postcard or larger, and preference will be given to pictures taken, but not necessarily processed, by readers. If the print is smaller then postcard, the negative should also be enclosed.

Picture location limited to P.B.-E.C.
