One Of The largest roundups of horses seen in Gisborne for many a year passed through late last year, when a mob of about 170 from the Ruatoria-Te Araroa district bought by Mr A. C. Bayley, Motu, was driven through the city. They will be used at Motu to destroy fern.

A Motorist met in Te Puke had only one complaint to mnke about Gisborne. He came down the East Coast, followed the sign (below) for Opotiki by turning into Customhouse Street, and ended up in a back alley.
