Mrs A. C. Coleman, of the staff of Chrisps, who has been prominent in Gisborne entertainment circles for about 30 years, who is leaving to live in Whakatane, where her two married daughters reside.

Sergeant A. S. Chiles, Mrs Chiles, and family, who were recently farewelled by members of the Gisborne Police Force and friends on the occasion of Sgt.Chiles' transfer to Central Station, Wellington. Sgt. Chiles has been attached to the Gisborne force for five years.

Mrs Julia Patterson, whose death in her 100th year occurred on January 2. She was understood to be Gisborne's oldest citizen md until a short time before her death was in good health. Mrs Patterson lived in the same house in Disraeli Street for 50 years, where the photograph above was taken on her 99th birthday last November.

Members of the family of the late Mr and Mrs Lynch, of Matawai, who were long-time and respected members of the community. Mr Lynch died nine years ago, and Mrs Lynch last November.
