Living The Life

An all-pakeha study group from the combined Maori language classes of Napier and Hastings visited the East Coast to study Maori life and customs on a recent weekend. After spending a day at Wairoa the group, under the guidance of Mrs Erana Coulter; stayed at Poho-o-rawiri meeting house for the night, then journeyed further up che coast to learn more of Maori culture. The party of 40 is pictured (ABOVE) on the steps of the meeting house.
