A great day
Great times and distances were the order of the day at the Intermediate School Sports just before the end of last year, A warm day with a light breeze made conditions ideal.
A fantastic throw by Ian Marshall in the discus gave him the winning distance of 91' 11".
Steven Hughes (left) and Peter McLennan were two workers who helped to make the day a success.
Wayne Binnie breasts the tape to win the junior 880.
A record of lm. 9.5s. was created by Heather Atkins in the senior girls' 440.
Hine Rangiwai also set a record, of 154' 8", in the senior girls' softball throw.
