Members of the Slimline Club recently presented a cheque for $50 to the Gisborne branch of the Plunket Society. From left, in front of the members are, exercise instructress Janice White, club president Fay Madden, acting president of Plunket Pam Riddell and Plunket secretary Edna Wauchop. Members of the Slimline Club attend exercise classes weekly to tone up muscles and figure during dieting. Sub is just 20 cents per club night plus five cents per pound for any weight gained, so belonging to the club gives a good incentive to lose weight!

Mrs C. King had this unusual entry in the novelty section at the Y.M.C.A. Ladies' Auxiliary November meeting. The letters Y.M.C.A. are made up of rhubarb, beans, radishes and silver beet.
