Exciting Sport

An exciting sport for both participator and spectator is due to start in Gisborne on the night of January 2. The Gisborne Midget Car and Motor Cycle Club proposes to hold its first stock car meeting on its new track in Awapuni Road.

There are a number of stock cars in town already and it is hoped that Hawkes Bay cars will race here, too, every second Saturday night during the season.

Bill Northe has purchased "Kimba" which was one of the top cars in New Zealand for the past two seasons. It has a 3.3 Cresta motor in a Prefect Series E body.
