From the Commercial Bank of Australia news that the new regional manager for the southern area of the North Island is Ray Brake. Mr Brake joined the C.B.A. in 1947 and has had extensive experience in both the North and South Island branches, including management of the bank's Upper Hutt and Whangarei branches.

Mrs Annie Gurran, 4 Konini Street, has had great success with this "great, big, beautiful doll" of hers. She took it to Auckland for the 19th annual New Zealand Doll Show where it just waltzed away with the special class section for the Best Dressed Bride Doll.
