nine graduates

Three general nurses and six community nurses were presented with their medals and prizes at the September Cook Hospital graduation ceremony.

Speakers at the function were Cook Hospital Board chairman Arthur Bartlett, Business and Professional Women's Association Dominion president Dorothy Ritchie, Mrs J. A. McCosh (president Registered Nurses' Association), and Cook Hospital medical superintendent Tom Lawrie.

Nurse Denise Hutchins won the Laing trophy (for care, kindness and understanding of the aged).

Nurse Susan Eagle (Tombleson Rose Bowl, Miss Bunt Rose Bowl, aggregate third year nurse, and obstetric and gynaecological prize) is pictured with her mother, Mrs F. A. Turner, and husband Maurice.
