Quality the Keynote

While entries were not high, quality was the keynote in this year's daffodil show. The Horticultural Daffodil and Spring Flower Show drew a goodly crowd to the colourful display.

Champion bloom, all classes, went to one of Mr R. C. A. Tombleson's entries. Since the flower show Mr Tombleson has competed at the National Daffodil Show, where he again won the British Raisers Challenge Cup. This top award was also won by Mr. Tombleson here in Gisborne at the national show in 1968.
