Mrs R. Ford, Murphy Road, Wainui, celebrated her 80th birthday recently. You wouldn't think so, would you? Her sons and their families came home for the occasion and a family dinner party was held at - Lincoln House. In the centre are Mr and Mrs Ford. At left is Mr Des Robinson (now of Cambridge) with his wife, Patricia, son Nicholas and daughter Angela. At right is Mr Garth Robinson (now of Wellington) with his wife, Jess, and sons Simon (front), Richard (centre back) and David. Des and Garth are both old boys of Gisborne Boys' High School. Des is a senior lecturer at the Hamilton Teachers' Training College while Garth is a wool broker in Wellington.

Anthony Dinnan, son of Mr and Mrs W. J. Dinnan, 1 Raukawa Grove, Upper Hutt, celebrated his 21st birthday recently. Tony is pictured with his father. The Dinnans were former residents of Gisborne.

Other former Gisborne residents in the social whirl are Mr and Mrs Jim Bennett who now live in Te Puke. The Bennetts recently celebrated their silver wedding anniversary and they are pictured with Mrs Bennett's mother, Mrs E. Walker (left), and Mr Bennett's mother, Mrs E. R. Bennett (also formerly of Gisborne).

Rebecca Fox, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. T. Fox, celebrated her coming of age recently. Rebecca is pictured with her parents who live on Uruahi Station, Ruatoria.
