A presentation of $100 was made to the Olympic Pool Committee by Rotary West. The money came from club fines and the cheque was presented on the proposed pool site. On transfer to Kaiapoi, as manager of the Bank of New Zealand branch there, is Mr Ron Cheeseman. He has been assistant manager in Gisborne for the past three and a half years and leaves for his new appointment shortly. Ron is pictured with his wife Colleen, daughter Nan and son Brett.

Two lucky little girls are Maudie (left) and Linda Reedy whose parents, Percy and Kuene Reedy are touring with the Maori Theatre Trust overseas. The Reedys have sent the girls some beautiful presents, some of which are shown here. They include wonderfully dressed dolls, colourful sandals, fans and pictures.
