First Time Out!

The Turanga Lions held their first father and son dinner recently and this was very successful. After a short address by Lion John Green of Te Atatu, about his visit to Chicago (where he visited Lion H.Q.) and Canada, the boys really lapped up the entertainment which came from Bryan Swainson and talent quest winner Hine Whatuira.

Four youngsters from the Heni Materoa Home were sponsored for the evening by four Lions. They are all pictured with new ambulance for St. John's. From left, with their sponsors, are Johnny Whitehead (Bevan Forbes), Trevor Morris (Stu Bailey), Henry Whitehead (Neville Spence) and Darrin Morris (Peter Scott).
