On With the Dance

Aspiring ballerinas from Gisborne schools of dancing took part in special classes held by the Royal Academy of Dancing (London) children's examiner, Miss Margot Bassett-Smith. Prior to the day of special tuition Miss Basset-Smith had conducted exams, these being the first exams based on the Dame Margot, Fonteyn syllabus.
