The Next Fastest Game

The next fastest game – to chess (?) – would be squash and you've really gotta be fit for that! The Gisborne ladies' team showed that when they annexed the North Island final of the C grade teams tournament, held here in Gisborne over the weekend of August 1 and 2. A pretty good effort for a club that has been existence for only two seasons. The ladies will play off against the South Island for the national title later in the year. The men didn't do so well but better luck next time!
