Our Cover

Cute little Mandy Wakelin and this giant lovable teddy bear make an appealing picture for our cover this month. The bear came from Auckland by N.A.C. and is used by Qantas on air cargo promotions. The bear has been on display at Adairs where the picture was taken. Mandy is the daughter of Noel and Joy Wakelin, De Lautour Road.

Back Cover - This gold poplar sentinel makes a bold column of colour against one of Poverty Bay's clear blue winter skies. The picture was taken on the highway north about a mile north of the Waipaoa River bridge.
